Privacy notice.
How we collect and use your information when you join the Points to Prove waitlist or buy from us.
In short
Your email, your career stage, and your force if you tell us. Used to tell you about launch and send free study content. If you buy, a record of the order. Never sold, never shared with your force.
Who we are
Points to Prove is a product of YourAppy, Suite RA01, 195-197 Wood Street, London, E17 3NU, the data controller for the information you give us. You can contact us at info@yourappy.com.
What we collect
- Your email address
- Your career stage (for example applicant, student officer or promotion candidate)
- Your force, if you choose to tell us
- The date you joined and that you agreed to receive emails from us
- If you joined through someone’s link, which member referred you
When you join you get your own referral link. Your place in the queue and how many people joined through your link are only ever shown to you.
When you buy
Payments are handled by Stripe. You give your card details to Stripe, not to us: we never see them. Stripe’s own privacy notice covers what it does with them.
We keep a record of each order: your email address, what you paid, whether the waitlist price applied, the date, Stripe’s order reference and how many times the files have been downloaded. When you check out we look up your email on our waitlist, only to apply the discount. Our lawful basis is that we need this to sell you the guide and deliver it, and to meet our legal duty to keep accounts.
Why we use it
We use your details to tell you when Points to Prove launches, to send you free study content relevant to your career stage and to understand demand from different forces. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give when you tick the box on the sign-up form.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data or share it with your force or any other organisation. It is stored by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, and our email provider, who process it only on our instructions. If you buy, your payment goes through Stripe.
How long we keep it
We keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or for up to 24 months after launch if you don’t become a customer.
Order records are kept for six years after the end of the financial year of the purchase, because HMRC requires us to keep our accounts for that long.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw your consent, at any time by emailing us or by using the unsubscribe link in any email. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
